Yarn 18 is made from 100% vegan cotton. It slides easily between the fingers and makes pieces light, delicate, and breathable—the kind you wear in the heat and almost forget you have on. Being fine, it offers many possibilities: it can be used alone, as a double strand, or accompanied by another yarn, in both crochet and knitting. It's the yarn for those who like a fine weave, well-defined details, and garments with a soft drape.

Knitting experience: The yarn runs smoothly on the needle and has a great yield, with 500m per ball. The pieces turn out light and fresh, with well-defined stitches. As it doesn't shed lint, the finish remains clean even after extensive use.

Yarn History: The cotton for Yarn #18 undergoes a process called mercerization, a treatment that leaves the fiber lustrous, stronger, and lint-free. It is a vegan yarn: no animal-derived compounds are used at any stage, and the softening comes from plant and mineral substrates. The cotton is BCI certified and sourced from the Caimbé, Mourão, Mutum, and Cidade Verde farms.
