Yarn 77 contains alpaca fiber and is slightly more full-bodied than Yarn 76: it is bulky, with a more prominent twist, suitable for pieces with significant volume and presence. When knitting, it warms softly and provides that full drape, like a winter coat you put on and never want to take off. Alpaca is a noble fiber, soft, light, and naturally hypoallergenic, and here it combines with sheep's wool to create comfortable and durable pieces, whether crocheted or knitted.
Weaving experience: the yarn is soft and full-bodied, with a prominent twist, and the resulting pieces are voluminous and very warm. Alpaca acts as a natural insulator, thanks to the air cavity in each fiber, and its bulky thickness makes the work progress quickly on the needle.
Yarn Story: Yarn #77 combines sheep's wool with alpaca fiber, an animal raised in the heights of the Andes Mountains. The raw material comes from Peru, and the yarn is produced in Brazil, exclusively for Made by You. Alpaca fiber is produced in conjunction with the International Alpaca Association (AIA) initiative, which promotes sustainable practices and supports the economic development of small family producers.
