Weaving experience: great softness, yield, and a slightly velvety feel are the hallmarks of yarn #79. The finished pieces are light, with a delicate texture, and the gentle colors give a serene look to your creations.
Yarn History: In the late 19th century, a plague led many farmers to abandon cotton cultivation in Peru, until Fermín Tangüis developed a new long-staple seed that was resistant and of excellent quality. This is the cotton that makes up yarn #79. The fiber has GOTS certification, the leading textile standard for organic fibers globally, with ecological and social criteria audited throughout the supply chain. The final product is developed in Brazil, and the fiber comes from Peru.
