The 97 Lanô Light Merino Wool Yarn is a knitting and crochet yarn made with 100% Brazilian merino wool from Australian Merino sheep. Its thickness provides a lightweight fabric, with stitch definition and a pleasant drape for clothing and accessories. The natural fiber offers comfort during use, adapting to different temperatures thanks to its breathability.
Weaving experience: The soft touch of merino wool makes the work comfortable in your hands. The yarn glides easily through the needles, enhances the texture of the stitches, and results in lightweight, cozy, and pleasant-to-wear pieces. As a natural fiber, merino wool also has natural antibacterial properties and high breathability, contributing to comfort of use throughout the seasons.
Yarn Story: The wool used in Yarn 97 originates from the Pampa Gaúcho region. The raw material comes from the cities of Rosário do Sul, São Gabriel, Santana do Livramento, Bagé, Quaraí, and Alegrete, in Rio Grande do Sul. Production gathers different supply methods, including direct purchase from producers, state wool cooperatives, and specialized stalls, strengthening a production chain built around Brazilian wool. The fiber receives thermal treatment to reduce shrinkage, but, like all natural wool, a washed swatch is recommended before the final piece.
