Yarn 53 is born from a beautiful place: the scraps left over from the fashion industry. Fabric trimmings that would otherwise go to waste are collected, separated by color, defibrated, and spun again, until they become this yarn. It has a slightly rustic appearance, which gives character and strength to what you create, and the right thickness for blankets, rugs, placemats, and decorative pieces. This is the 100g skein, a smaller version of the 500g 53, good for testing colors or finishing details.
Weaving experience: the thickness is ideal for decorative pieces, and the slightly rustic appearance gives strength and personality to the weave. It is a yarn with body, that holds the shape of baskets, rugs, and blankets well.
Yarn History: yarn #53 is made from the defibration of fabrics and knits remaining from the fashion industry. As the trimmings vary from lot to lot, part of the composition appears as diverse fibers. After being collected and separated by color, the fibers return to their raw state and are spun again, in a process that utilizes what already exists in the world instead of producing from scratch.
TIP
Acquire the necessary quantity of skeins to make your piece, thus ensuring they are from the same lot.
